Tom McKibbin believes Jon Rahm and Tyrell Hatton have helped make him a “better” golfer.
The 23-year-old golfer surprised many when he joined LIV Golf in January 2025, and he admitted getting the chance to learn from some of the greats of the game was a “big factor” in his decision to sign on with Legion XIII.
He told Bunkered magazine: “Getting to spend a lot of time with Jon and Tyrrell, two top players in the world, definitely made my decision to go and be able to spend time and learn from them a big factor.
“Getting to play with them a lot and spend time with them, I think my game’s gotten a lot better.
“I’ve definitely learned small things at each and every event and built up this new knowledge of things.
“Hopefully I can keep building on that and keep learning from them.”
Team captain Jon has been a particularly big influence on Tom’s game.
Tom said: “Seeing how much of a competitor he is and his will to do well in each and every tournament that he plays in shows you a new light.
“Sometimes he might feel like he might not have his best stuff, but he’s able to sort of turn a switch and go out there and have a great week.
“Seeing that definitely gave me a fresh perspective.”
