Luke Littler believes he is capable of winning a clean sweep of darts majors in 2026.
‘The Nuke’ was in sensational form as he claimed the World Matchplay crown in Blackpool last week to continue his dominance of the big PDC events this year and has admitted that he is striving to claim all eight ranking titles in the calendar.
Littler told Sky Sports: “The clean sweep is very much on. I think you can only look at what’s coming up. For myself now, I can’t go and say, ‘I’m going to win the World Championships’. That’s in another five or six months.
“You’ve just got to look at what’s in front of you. I’ve got a nice two-week holiday to Orlando as well to look forward to. I think the clean sweep, it’s very much on.
“As long as I qualify for Minehead (for the Players Championship Finals), whether I win the World Series, the European, it’s all coming up. It’s a busy end of the year, but we’ll see.”
Littler averaged a tournament record 111.04 as he defended his World Matchplay title and thinks that “not many” players will be able to stop him if he performs at such a high level.
The 19-year-old arrows ace said: “I’m feeling very good.
“With performances like that, not many can stop me. Obviously, a tournament average of 111 was really, really good.”
Littler feels that winning a clean sweep of majors would be one of the biggest achievements in darting history.
The two-time world champion said: “For darts, I think it would be up there with probably one of the best.
“No one’s ever done it. That’s what I’m going for. I like to break all these records.”
