PUMA has marked Morgan Rogers’ England World Cup call-up by bringing those who have played a part in his meteoric rise to the top for a celebratory dinner ahead of the most important summer of his career.

The sendoff event included a screening of short film The Inevitable, which looks back at the Aston Villa star’s journey from the schoolyard to the stadium, him becoming one of the most exciting players in English football, and thanking those who helped along the way – most notably his brothers who make an appearance.

As well as his friends and family, John – the actor who plays ‘Young Morgan’, the main character in the film, was also in attendance, as he met Morgan and was gifted Premier League tickets for next season – one of the many thankyous that took place during the course of the evening.

Whilst looking ahead to this summer’s big tournament, the dinner was also an opportunity to reflect on what Rodgers has already had an answer for – from the academy, to taking the Premier League by storm, to the bright lights of Europe, and now to the world stage.

Rogers said at the event: “Tonight felt like a real celebration of what we have achieved so far and PUMA have supported me throughout – I’m excited to see what we do together next and hopefully there’s more success to come.”

During the World Cup, Rogers will be wearing the recently-launched SHOWTIME PACK, part of PUMA’s pre-tournament rollout which includes the kitting out of 11 nations, close to a quarter of all competing, and the PUMA X SALEHE BEMBURY TRVL WEAR, a fashion-forward travel wear and goalkeeper kit collection designed by Salehe Bembury.
