Tyson Fury will face Anthony Joshua in 2026 if the financial terms meet his demands, according to promoter Frank Warren.
The all-British heavyweight clash has been reported as a live possibility for next year, with Warren insisting the bout will happen only if The Gypsy King, 37, believes the value reflects its global appeal.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Queensberry promoter said: “What will encourage Tyson is the financial aspect of it. I believe he’s got the beating of AJ, as does Tyson and the team.
“It’s all about the value of the fight. It’s a big fight and it’s worth a lot of money. Tyson has his price. If he gets his price, he’ll be in there to fight him.”
The comments come after Joshua, 36, called out Fury following his knockout win over Jake Paul, 28, in Miami, Florida, in what was his first bout since being stopped by Daniel Dubois, also 28, in September 2024.
While Joshua’s victory extended his career resurgence, Warren was unconvinced by what he saw against the YouTuber-turned-boxer.
He said: “The version I saw in his last fight, I would fancy Tyson even more. There’s a few times that he got caught by Jake Paul.
“He caught him with a couple of good jabs and he caught him with a good uppercut. He was just too small.”
Warren went further when asked how the fight would play out, adding: “Tyson will knock him out. I know he’ll knock him out.
“He’s a big puncher. AJ is not hard to hit and he’s in with a boxer, a proper fighter who’s got a big chin.”
If agreed, the bout is expected to form part of Riyadh Season, continuing Saudi Arabia’s investment in heavyweight boxing.
Fury has fought exclusively in Riyadh since 2023 and has not boxed in the UK since stopping Derek Chisora, 41, in 2022, while Joshua has split recent appearances between London, Riyadh and Miami.
Warren acknowledged the pull of a domestic setting but stressed that economics will decide the venue.
He said: “Money will dictate where the fight takes place, it’s as simple as that. They will go where the money is. In boxing, it’s a dangerous sport and most boxers’ careers are over at these two’s ages.”
