Nathalie Bjorn preferred living in Liverpool to London.
The Swedish defender left Everton for Chelsea in 2024 and she admitted she enjoyed being based in a smaller city, though she likes her immediate surroundings.
She told Match magazine: London is a really big city, and I would say that I prefer Liverpool because it’s smaller.
“Outside of football, I like my apartment and I like where I live, as I live close to the training ground.”
Nathalie praised Chelsea head coach Sonia Bompastor for the “balance” she strikes with the team.
She said: “She’s very clear on how she wants to play football. She’s very passionate.
“I think she’s an honest coach that puts demands on you, but she also wants you to be brave on the ball.
“That’s a hard balance, but I think she manages that balance quite well.”
And the sportswoman enjoys the “challenge” of the competition for places in the Chelsea team.
She said: “One of the reasons why I left Everton was because I needed a new challenge.
“I needed to get challenged on a daily basis and feel that competition. It’s something that’s really helping me to push myself even further.
“Obviously, you always want to play, and if I’m not playing, of course that will be harder.”
