Luke Littler had a “quality day” as he played darts with the England squad ahead of their upcoming friendly double-header against Uruguay and Japan.
The world number one darts player, 19, headed to St. George’s Park on Tuesday (24.03.26) to throw some arrows with the Three Lions players.
But he joked none of the squad gave him a “run for [his] money”.
He wrote on Instagram: “None of the @england lads giving me a run for my money just yet.
“Quality day thanks for having me. Bring on the summer”
While the England squad might have to stick to their football playing day jobs for now, some did impress.
The lads took part in a knockout-style tournament, with Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale – who is on loan at Newcastle United – and Manchester City star Phil Foden making the final.
While Foden showed off his skills by hitting an incredible 180 score from three darts, shot stopper Ramsdale triumphed in the tournament.
Littler – who is a Manchester United fan – was given an England shirt with 180 on the back, and he presented the Three Lions with a special dartboard.
In January 2024, Littler was invited to United’s training ground, Carrington, where he met the team and then-manager Erik ten Hag.
The darts supremo was gifted a United shirt by his favourite player, Alejandro Garnacho, and he challenged Christian Eriksen and Harry Maguire to a game of darts, during which Littler hit a 180.
It came just days after Littler was a guest in United’s directors’ box for a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur, where he met former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
He told MUTV: “Unbelievable, I met Sir Alex Ferguson and got him to sign my top for me.
“I had a chat with him and I was with [boxer] Tommy Fury as well.
“It was good to get me in a quite good seat and I actually wore some decent clothes for once, instead of just trackies.”
