Kell Brook could extend his boxing comeback.

The British fighter will come out of retirement to take on Eisa Al Dah in Dubai next February and has suggested that he could carry on afterwards as he has enjoyed being in training again.

Brook, who hasn’t fought since his win over rival Amir Khan in 2022, told Sky Sports News: “I’m enjoying my training again, it’s a one-off up until now. But us fighters, when we retire it never leaves us. It’s always around us.

“Let’s see what happens when we get to this fight. I think it could be the end. Or could it? We don’t know until we get there.”

Brook says he is fighting in honour of the late Ricky Hatton – who had been due to take on Al Dah in a December exhibition fight before his tragic death earlier this year.

The former welterweight world champion said: “I’m dedicating this fight to Ricky Hatton, a tribute to his unbelievable career.

“I’ve come out of retirement for Ricky, mental health and addiction. I want people to be alright with asking for help when they need it.

“A horrible thing happened with Ricky Hatton and I just want to let people know, you’re a phone call away from help. It’s a tribute to Ricky Hatton, this.”

Brook’s return to the ring was announced last month and he reflected on the “godly moment” when Al Dah approached him about the fight.

He recalled: “Eisa reached out to me about a week after Ricky’s passing and asked me if I would take this fight. It was a godly moment for me. I thought of Ricky Hatton and what he’s done in this game, such a hero, done unbelievable things in this sport.

“I thought it’s time to get out of my silk pyjamas and get back in the gym and start training for this magnificent fight in Dubai.”
