Nakisa Bidarian believes Jake Paul will defeat Anthony Joshua.
The Problem Child, 28, will take on the former heavyweight titan, 36, on December 19, 2025 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, and Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions co-founder has insisted he will beat AJ because “he’s been planning for this this entire time”.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “The fight is called Jake versus Joshua and I very much expect Jake to come out the victor.”
Bidarian argued that Paul’s mindset and preparation give him more than a puncher’s chance against Joshua, 34, despite the former unified heavyweight champion’s experience, power and proven knockout threat.
He said: “Does he go in there with the risk of getting knocked out? Absolutely. That’s what boxing is about and Anthony Joshua is one of the biggest boxers, biggest punchers, most devastating knockout artists that exist.”
He said Paul has been privately targeting Joshua since March, building his entire training and planning around the possibility of securing – and winning – the matchup.
He explained: “Jake’s been predicting this since March of this year. He’s been planning for this this entire time.”
Bidarian stressed Paul’s growing infrastructure as evidence of his seriousness, highlighting the YouTuber-turned-fighter’s bespoke boxing facility and elite training setup.
He said: “What you can count on is Jake is spending every minute of every day focused on how to beat Anthony Joshua. He has a personally-built gym focused on boxing.
“He has the best trainers in the world and we consistently have the best sparring partners for him in the world.”
Paul, who holds a 10–1 professional record, stepped up to heavyweight in recent months, stopping Mike Tyson, 59, before outpointing Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., 39, in his last bout.
Joshua, meanwhile, is coming off his defeat to Daniel Dubois, 28, in September 2024, and is building towards another shot at the world heavyweight title.
Bidarian dismissed claims that Joshua stopping Paul is inevitable, adding that if The Problem lasts the distance, sceptics will resort to conspiracy theories.
He said: “If this fight goes to eight rounds and a decision and people start to say, ‘Oh this must have been something that was fixed’ that just tells you how unbelievable it is in terms of the things that he’s achieving.”
He added that stepping into the ring with Joshua so early in Paul’s career already demands respect.
He said: “If he gets knocked out, will people still say that it was fixed? No. Then they have to respect the fact that this guy got into the ring with someone of AJ’s experience level and knockout power just 13 fights into his career.”
