Graeme McDowell wants to pursue a broadcasting career.

The 46-year-old golfer is keen to commentate on tournaments when he hangs up his clubs for good, and admitted he’s got something of a timeframe already in mind.

Asked if he sees himself doing more commentary in future, he told Today’s Golfer magazine: “It’s something I’d like to pursue.

“Like I’ve said, I’ve never really had a real job, so having a boss, being told where to be, and getting slapped on the wrist for saying the wrong thing… Yeah, I’m up for it.

“[How soon?] Next five years. It depends how long they will have me on LIV Golf.”

Graeme believes the game needs a number of changes but isn’t sure they would be made.

He said: “There’s a few rules I don’t like.

“I’d get rid of the knee-high drop – that’s the most ridiculous rule.

“That Shane Lowry incident at the Open shouldn’t have been more than a one-stroke penalty.

“How are you supposed to replace the ball when you didn’t know it moved? Things like that.

“I would try and make the game quicker as well, but that might be like p****** into the wind.”
