Andy Ruiz Jr. “wants [his] revenge” against Anthony Joshua.

After causing a major upset by defeating AJ, 36, in June 2019, The Destroyer, 36, was beaten six months later, and Ruiz Jr. is still looking for another chance to claim victory over Joshua once more.

During an interview with Covers.com, he said of a possible third fight with AJ: “That’s something that I would love to [do].

“I think that would be like the first fight that I would even want to join because, you know, there’s bad blood that we left behind – especially me, losing against him in Saudi Arabia, I want my revenge.

“I want another chance against him. We could do the trilogy. That’s something that me and [AJ’s promoter] Eddie Hearn talked about as well.

“But I need to get back in action and get a few fights in there and start calling out these [other] big names.”

As well as Joshua, Ruiz Jr. said he would also want to share the ring with undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, 38, Tyson Fury, 37, and Deontay Wilder, 40.

He said: “Usyk, Tyson Fury, Joshua, and Wilder, for sure [I want to fight] – four of them. Those are the big names.

“I know they still underestimate this chubby little man, this chubby Mexican man. I don’t know if they would take the fight. I don’t know if they would think it’s too dangerous or whatnot.”

Ruiz Jr. revealed he had also reached out to Usyk about a potential fight, and The Cat seemed happy to share the ring with The Destroyer at some point.

He explained: “Maybe like a few weeks ago, I was messaging Usyk. I guess he sent me a message or something. I was like, ‘Hey, much love, brother. I would love to get in the ring with you. It would be a pleasure.’

“And then he was like, ‘In God’s timing, we will do it. We will run it up’, And I was like, ‘Oh, snap.’”

Ruiz Jr. Has been away from the ring since his majority draw with Jarrell Miller, 37, in August 2024, but The Destroyer has insisted he is not looking to throw the towel in anytime soon – saying he’s “not done yet”.
